Moving On
365 days, each day a new adventure,
Adventures that could change lives
And so it did.
A dilemma of leaving her first job,
Deserting the people she loved and trusted,
Letting go of a place where she was safe and secure,
And so she moved on.
What did she move onto you ask?
It was a world where happiness was almost non-existent,
A world where tears flowed like rivers,
And so she was welcomed into the world of depression.
A glimpse of happiness seemed to appear,
Only to be blown away by the shattering winds of reality;
Dynamic changes came about
And so she adjusted.
Panic attacks were now part of her daily routine,
Seamlessly entered her life,
She was now defined by it,
And so anti-depressants became her saving grace.
A friend,
Provided her with the love and respect she was yearning for,
He walked in like an angel on earth
And so she felt loved.
He was indeed the silver lining to the dark clouds of her depression
But who better than her knew that happiness is short lived,
For the dark clouds held in more tears and the silver lining was greyed out
And so….
