My Dear Brother

Everybody talks about childhood friends,
I just had one - you my dear brother - and I can’t complain.
You were my best friend from day one,
And shine in my life as bright as the sun.
Held my hand all the way through,
All the way, it was you.
From playing sports together and wrestling,
Every moment was a blessing.
The first day of school, everything new,
I was only at peace when I saw you.
After school was what I waited for,
Cause fun and games were just out the back door.
Watching iTv and waiting for our song to play,
We waited and waited and in dismay we lay.
Playing with sticks and me getting swollen eyes,
We grew all the more wise.
Cycling with you and falling down the slope,
I saw you on the top and knew there’d be hope.
From teaching me various lessons in life,
You always told me to strive.
You would always look over my shoulder,
No matter how older.
From surprise parties to treasure hunts,
You would pull out all the stunts.
Every step of the way you stood by my side,
And every decision, always there to guide.
In you I always confide,
Life is beautiful with you beside,
Treasure I will always your advice,
Especially market price, purchase price and share price
Our journey here a fun filled one and fulfilled with memories
Lifetimes to go, to create many more
